We believe that architecture is not a single practice, but several intertwined ones. Orientation is inseparable from design, the terrain is inherent in the structure, and ecology is inseparable from the building requirements. Creating spaces where we are happy is the ultimate goal of every project. Thus, our architecture is a combination of the materiality of the place, the elements that surround the space (vegetation, buildings…) and the vision of our clients, collaborators and ourselves.
As designers, we strive to be honest and clear. The most important thing is to understand the customer’s vision and needs, and make a conjunction with ours. We value a direct communication and personal contact, because we think that if we do not know you, we cannot understand your needs. We also look to work with the best collaborator in the field (electricians, plumbers, material suppliers, etc), to make our client’s vision a reality with the heists standards.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to collaborate with excellent clients who have trusted us and given us the opportunity to develop our architecture along them . This is what has given as the capacity to develop, creating spaces in which light, relationships, intimacy and materiality are essential.
Born in Belgium in 1965, she studied at Sint-Lucas University in her hometown: Ghent. After graduating in 1988, she got her first job at Rita Blondeel’s studio Dok Noord. In 1991 she did an internship at the Christine Layt studio in Casablanca and in 1992 she traveled to Mozambique with Médicos sin Fronteras for the expansion and reconstruction of the Hospital Ressano Health facility, in Ressano Garcia.
In 1993 she moved to Alcoy (Alicante) to start a family, and in 1996 she joined the College of Architects of Alicante and founded the StudioA3. Since then she has worked in the Valencian Community and nearby, planning and designing a wide variety of projects.
